A visual tour of how entriv.io lives inside the door. The guest taps a phone — primarily over NFC, optical scan only when NFC isn't possible. The same tap opens the building's gate and your apartment door. Designed in Cannes; deployed wherever your guests arrive.

Inside the door

Where the device actually lives.

entriv.io attaches to the interior face of the front door, at peephole height. The peephole is the only window onto the landing; nothing on the outside is added, drilled, or modified. From the street, the door is unchanged.

The wood of the door itself is part of the design — the NFC antenna inside it couples to a phone held against the outside, reading the guest's credential through 40 mm of oak. No external panel, no visible reader.

The Porter sits inside the apartment door at the peephole; a separate Porter Bridge inside the flat opens the building's porte cochère via a relay across the Comelit handset. One credential, both doors — and nothing visible from the boulevard.

A Yale Linus L2 retrofitted to the original brass cylinder. The Porter inside the door reads the guest's phone NFC through the wood, then commands the lock over Matter. The front face of the villa is untouched — important for a listed property.

Where a modern IP intercom is already in place, entriv.io speaks directly to its HTTP API — no extra wiring, no relay. The Porter behind the apartment-door peephole authenticates the guest, then instructs the intercom to release.

Old stone, ancient WiFi. entriv.io caches the next 14 days of grants locally and falls over to a 4G modem when the line drops, so a guest arriving at midnight is never left at the gate.

Same Porter, same install

The Porter is geography-agnostic. We've designed for thick oak Haussmann doors, but it works on any wooden, hollow-core or composite door — and a doorframe-trim antenna option covers steel security doors. Booking channels are pulled by iCal, which every major platform exposes worldwide.

From the foyer

A quiet shape on the back of the door.

The Porter shares its eye-level position with the door's peephole, consoles and mirror remain exactly as the owner left them. Most guests don't notice it until they need to.

For owners who prefer it to be even less visible, a brushed-bronze finish lets the device read as a slightly elaborate peephole backing-plate rather than a piece of technology.

Apartment block

Bridges the building's intercom — without replacing it.

For older blocks, a compact Porter Bridge sits inside the apartment beside the existing handset. An opto-isolated relay wired in parallel with the "open door" button means the same credential that opens your apartment door also opens the street entrance — without touching the building's wiring or the residents' handsets.

Compatible with most Comelit, Aiphone, Urmet, BPT, Fermax and similar systems. For modern IP intercoms (2N, Akuvox, DoorBird) we speak to their HTTP API directly — no relay needed.

Primary: NFC through the door

A tuned 13.56 MHz antenna couples to the guest's phone or fob held against the outside of the door — read through 40 mm of oak.

Fallback only: optical scan

If the guest's phone doesn't support NFC, the peephole becomes a QR reader. Used only when NFC isn't possible.

Status LED

Single ring: amber while reading, teal on success, coral on denial. Quiet by design.

Brushed aluminium body

60 × 120 × 22 mm. Matt anodised black; brushed nickel or champagne to order. Attaches to the inside face of the door.

No image is ever recorded

Frames go straight into the QR decoder and are discarded — nothing written to disk, nothing transmitted.

Keypad fallback

Backlit numeric keys for the rare moment a phone runs flat and no QR is to hand.
